KnytX Trust vs Vanta & Drata
Vanta and Drata bundle trust centers into $7.5K+/yr compliance platforms. KnytX Trust is that layer on its own, free to start.
Vanta and Drata aren't really trust-center vendors — they're SOC 2 evidence-collection platforms that bundle a trust page and questionnaire tools into their higher tiers. If you need the evidence-collection half, that changes the comparison. Here's the honest breakdown. Read the full picture ↓

Who each one is actually for
Choose Vanta / Drata if
- You need SOC 2 evidence collection — continuous control monitoring, auditor integrations, and audit-readiness tooling — which neither we nor any pure trust-center product provides.
- Your budget already includes $7.5K-$45K/year for a compliance-automation platform, and the Trust Center is a bonus on top of a purchase you’re making anyway.
- You want the most established products in the compliance-automation category, with the largest integration ecosystems.
Choose KnytX Trust if
- You don’t need SOC 2 evidence automation — you need a public trust page and questionnaire handling, and don’t want to buy a $7.5K+/year platform to get them.
- You’re pre-SOC 2 or early in that process and want a trust page today, not gated behind a compliance platform built around a certification you don’t have yet.
- You want per-questionnaire pricing ($79) or a $99-249/month range instead of committing to a five-figure annual contract to access trust-center features.

Vanta and Drata are the two largest names in SOC 2 compliance automation. Both bundle a trust center and AI-assisted questionnaire responses into their higher-priced tiers. This page compares those bundled features against KnytX Trust, with one caveat stated plainly: they’re a different kind of product first.
What you’re actually comparing
Vanta and Drata’s core business is SOC 2 evidence collection. They monitor your infrastructure against SOC 2 controls, integrate with your cloud and identity systems, and produce the evidence package your auditor needs. That’s a real and valuable job, and a different one from KnytX Trust’s. For them, the trust center and questionnaire responses are features layered on top of that platform. KnytX Trust doesn’t do SOC 2 evidence collection at all. We built the trust-page-and-questionnaire layer on its own instead.
When the bundle is fine
If you already need Vanta or Drata’s SOC 2 automation, the trust-center add-on is a marginal cost on a purchase you’re making anyway. In that case the real question is whether their broader platform fits your program, not this table.
Don’t need continuous SOC 2 evidence automation yet? That’s common for a 2-20 person vendor early in its compliance work. Paying $7.5K-$45K a year for a trust page and a handful of AI responses is a lot of platform for the job. That’s the gap KnytX Trust fills, sold on its own, starting free.
Where Vanta and Drata genuinely win
Their real advantage is integration depth: evidence collection feeding audit-ready reports, plus a large customer base and an integration ecosystem we don’t have. If audit-readiness automation is the job, they’re the more established choice, and we say so plainly.
